Yoga came into my life as a way to stretch, get out of the house and try something new. I had no expectations or idea what I was getting into. My first impression was "I can’t believe a place like this exists."
Having been in a very negative and stressful environment for the last couple years this was like a dream. I started to notice a change in my energy about two weeks in, each class has been like a battery recharge, or release; emotional, physical, mental, whatever, for me feels like freedom. Learning to connect with myself and just let go has been an eye opening experience. After a month, yoga brought clarity to problem areas in my life that had to change right away. Through a daily practice, yoga has healed my body, mind and soul, opened old injuries - things I was told were permanent - and disposed of them like they were never there. Bonus, yoga has also helped to bring me out of my shell, chill my anxiety and allow peace. Showing up has proven that all things are possible when you take time to breathe, create space and just let go.
During this one hour workshop, each participant will leave with their own SCOBY, starter batch and information needed to start their own brew. They will also get to try samples of first and second fermentations with various flavours (ginger, strawberry, raspberry, grapefruit etc). Information will be provided on the history and benefits of kombucha. We will also demonstrate how to do the first and second fermentation. Snacks and social after for those who wish to stay.
Each person will leave with their own starter batch, scoby, info sheet. We will supply tastings and some sort of vegan snackGO
How often are you getting stuck in the same conversations that never seem to get resolved? Many ‘defining’ moments in life come from having difficult conversations (as these create significant shifts in attitude and behavior). This workshop focuses on techniques on how to hold such conversations in a positive space when surrounded by highly charged emotions. The model is based on 25 years of research with 20,000 people.
The model has essentially 7 steps:
1) Start with the heart (i.e., empathy and positive intent)
2) Stay in dialogue
3) Make it safe
4) Don’t get hooked by emotion (or hook them)
5) Agree a mutual purpose
6) Separate facts from story
7) Agree a clear action plan

During this practice you will follow the Modo series, a Hatha-styled class to a set-sequence of 34-40 postures. As you take pause with each posture, Michael will touch on the Sanskrit word and meaning while also examining the history and traditions associated with each posture.
This is a great class for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of this practice and the deep and rich history associated with yoga and the asanas.GO
We require well balanced hips for them to be healthy and functional. Generally, we focus on opening the hip in two or three directions, but the hip joint actually moves eight ways and must be worked consistently and effectively in all directions. Otherwise, we create imbalances in the hip that lead to a host of problems, not just in the pelvis but also in the knees and low back. This workshop will teach you a safe, effective and easy series to open the hips. The series is extremely beneficial for healing knee pain and low back pain.GO
